You can participate in the Refer-A-Friend Program if you're a current Trala subscriber in good standing. You can refer anyone who hasn’t had a Trala paid subscription before or hasn’t initiated the free trial offer within the previous 90 days.

To start a referral, open the Trala App on your smart phone or tablet device. Enter and submit your friend or family's contact information, including their name and email address to generate the invitation to subscribe to Trala. We take care of the rest.

You'll receive your iTunes gift card typically within 72 hours after your referred friend or family member completes the referral requirements.

The Obligatory Fine Print

This is a limited time offer and may be subject to change. Qualifying subscriptions to Trala for both the referrer and referee is required. iTunes gift cards are issued by Apple, and iTunes is a registered trademark of Apple. Use of the iTunes gift card constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions stated in the iTunes gift card user agreement.

Terms and Conditions

These are the Terms and Conditions applicable to the Trala, Inc. (“Trala”) Refer-A-Friend Program (the “Program”). Under the Program, we offer current subscribers of our services (“Subscribers”) the opportunity to receive gift cards and other rewards (“Rewards”) for each Qualified Referral (as defined below) who purchases a paid subscription to our services, as further described herein.  We reserve the right to terminate this Program at any time for any reason.

Subscribers that wish to take part in the Program are bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree and abide by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety you are not authorized to participate in the Program. Subscribers may not participate in the Program where doing so would be prohibited by any applicable law or regulations. We reserve the right to modify or amend at any time these Terms and Conditions and the methods through which any cash incentives may be earned. We reserve the right to disqualify any Subscriber at any time from participation in the Program.

Children: No part of the Program is directed to persons under the age of 13. IF YOU ARE UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE, PLEASE DO NOT USE OR ACCESS THE PROGRAM AT ANY TIME OR IN ANY MANNER.

Privacy

Subscribers that wish to participate in the Program must submit personal information about themselves, such as name and email address information, so that Trala can track the referrals made by the Subscriber to their account and issue them their Reward. The personal information will be collected, processed and used in accordance with Trala’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at http://www.Trala.com/privacy-policy. In addition, personal information provided by the Subscriber may be used by Trala or its service provider, on Trala's behalf, to contact Subscribers in regard to their participation in the Program and to receive email communications from Trala about its Services. Trala may send out additional follow-up communications to the Subscriber to encourage or remind them to refer more Qualified Referrals. By participating in the Program, Subscribers consent to receiving such communications by email or in-app messages.

How the Program Works

Program Participation

To participate, a Subscriber shall provide the Qualified Referral with a unique referral code provided by Trala after clicking on the “Refer-A-Friend” button in Trala’s mobile application (a “Referral Code”). The Qualified Referral must enter the Referral Code and purchase a paid subscription to Trala’s services (“Services”). If the Qualified Referral does not use the Subscriber’s Referral Code to purchase a paid subscription, the Subscriber will be not be credited for that referral and will not be eligible for any Rewards, even if the Qualified Referral subsequently purchases a paid subscription to the Services at a later date.

Eligible Subscribers

To be eligible for Program and to receive Rewards, a Subscriber must:

  1. Be a legal resident of the United States;

  2. Be at least 13 years old;

  3. Have provided the Qualified Referral with their correct unique Referral Code;

  4. Have a current subscription to the Services in good standing with Trala; and

  5. Employees of Trala, its service providers or any of its or their subsidiaries, affiliates or promotional agencies, including immediate family and household members, are not eligible.

Making a Referral

When a Subscriber clicks on the “Refer-A-Friend” button within the App, the App will automatically populate a text message or email containing a Referral Code, which the Subscriber can send to the Qualified Referral. Once a Qualified Referral uses a Subscriber’s Referral Code and successfully purchases a subscription to the Services, the Subscriber may receive a communication from Trala confirming that the Qualified Referral has signed up to a paid subscription to the Services. The confirmation communication to the Subscriber shall include some of the Qualified Referral’s personal information provided to Trala such as name and email address. A Subscriber’s failure to receive such a confirmation communication means that the Qualified Referral has failed to use a Referral Code or has not purchased a paid subscription to the Services, and no Reward will have been earned. Subscribers may not refer themselves.

Qualified Referrals

A Qualified Referral means that all the following conditions are met:

  1. The prospective Subscriber (i.e. a person who does not have an active subscription to the Services) successfully purchases a paid subscription to the Services using the Subscriber’s Referral Code. If a Subscriber purchases a paid subscription to the Services using any other link or method, the registration will not count as a Qualified Referral and the Subscriber will not be rewarded a Reward;

  2. The prospective Subscriber has not previously a paid subscription to the Service under any other email address or alias;

  3. The prospective Subscriber has not had free trial access to the Services during the ninety (90) day period immediately prior to the date the prospective Subscriber uses the Referral Code;

  4. The prospective Subscriber uses the Referral Code to purchase a paid subscription to the Services at least twenty four (24) hours after receipt of the Referral Code; and

  5. The prospective Subscriber is a) at least 13 years old; b) meets the eligibility requirements to become a Subscriber of Trala’s Services; and c) has consented to receiving communications from Trala.

Earning Rewards

Subscribers shall receive one (1) $15 USD iTunes Gift Card for each verified Qualified Referral generated through the Subscriber’s Referral Code. A Subscriber may not have more than ten (10) open referrals (Referral Codes sent to prospective Subscribers that have not signed up to a paid subscription to the Services using such Referral Codes) at a time.  A Subscriber also may not attain more than forty (40) Qualified Referrals in any calendar year.  Any Qualified Referral shall be subject to review at any time by Trala and it is in the sole discretion of Trala as to the legitimacy and validity of such Qualified Referral.

Verified Qualified Referrals

All Rewards are subject to verification. Trala may delay a Reward for the purposes of investigation. Trala may also refuse to verify and process any transaction Trala deems, in its sole discretion, to be fraudulent, suspicious, or in violation of these Terms and Conditions, or Trala believes will impose potential liability on Trala beyond what is reasonable for this Referral Program, its subsidiaries, affiliates or any of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents. Trala may cancel, amend or revoke the Reward at any time due to business considerations of circumstances beyond Trala’s control. Trala is not responsible for errors, omissions, malfunctions, interruptions, deletions, delays or failures of operations. All of the Trala's decisions are final and binding, including decisions as to whether a Qualified Referral or Reward is verified.

Liability

Trala shall not be liable for:

  1. Late, lost, delayed, stolen, misdirected, incomplete, inaccurate, unreliable, garbled or unintelligible registrations, links, communications or affidavits, regardless of the method of transmission;

  2. Data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of account information or other materials;

  3. Any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession or use of a Reward, or from participation in the Program, that were not reasonably foreseeable to Trala at the relevant time;

  4. Any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any websites or materials associated with the Program; or

  5. Claims, demands, and damages in disputes among users of the Program.

Disclaimers

Computer System

Trala disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participating in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with the Program, and reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Program should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized intervention or other causes beyond Trala’s control, corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Program.

Force Majeure

Trala shall not be liable to any Subscriber for failure to supply any Reward or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulations(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, threatened terrorist acts, terrorist acts, air raid, blackout, act of public enemy, earthquake, tornado, tsunami, war (declared or undeclared), fire, flood, epidemic, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other similar or dissimilar cause beyond any of Trala’s control.

Suspension of the Program

Trala reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Program should it determine, in its sole discretion, that the administration, security or fairness of the Program has been compromised in any way.

Disclaimer of Warranties

SUBSCRIBER EXPRESSLY UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES THAT: (A) YOUR USE OF THE PROGRAM IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK, THE PROGRAM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS AND TRALA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS AND TERMS (COLLECTIVELY, "PROMISES") OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY STATUTE, COMMON LAW OR CUSTOM, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROMISES AS TO PRODUCTS OR SERVICES OFFERED THROUGH THE USE OF THE PROGRAM, IMPLIED PROMISES OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT; (B) TRALA MAKES AND GIVES NO PROMISE THAT (i) THE PROGRAM WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, (ii) BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, (iii) THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF THE PROGRAM WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE, (iv) THE QUALITY OF ANY PRODUCTS, SERVICES, INFORMATION, OR OTHER MATERIAL OBTAINED BY YOU THROUGH THE PROGRAM WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS, AND (v) ANY ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED; AND (C) ANY MATERIAL DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF THE PROGRAM IS ACCESSED AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK, AND YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM OR MOBILE DEVICE OR LOSS OF DATA THAT RESULTS FROM THE DOWNLOAD OR USE OF ANY SUCH MATERIAL.

Conduct

Prohibited Conduct, Generally.
Subscribers agree not to use the Program to:

  1. Violate applicable law;

  2. Stalk, harass, or harm another individual;

  3. Collect or store personal data about other Subscribers;

  4. Impersonate any person or otherwise misrepresent Subscriber’s identity;

  5. Interfere with, disrupt or violate the Terms and Conditions or servers or networks connected to the Program; or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies, or regulations of such networks;

  6. Interfere with another Subscriber’s use of the Program;

  7. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Program, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Program;

  8. Transmit any file that contains viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or any other contaminating or destructive features;

  9. Conduct any illegal activity or solicit the performance of any illegal activity or other activity that infringes the rights of others;

  10. Resell, barter, trade, auction or otherwise generate income by providing access to the Program to others; or

  11. Submit personal information relating to third parties to the Program without the consent of those third parties.

Bulk Distribution (Spam)

  1. If a Subscriber provides a Referral Code to a prospective Qualified Referral by email or text/SMS message, the email or text/SMS message must be created and distributed in a personal manner that is appropriate and customary for communications with friends, colleagues and family members. By using a Subscriber’s Referral Code, the prospective Qualified Referral represents that he/she has given consent to Trala to send the Subscriber’s personal information such as full name and email address.

  2. Bulk email distribution, distribution to strangers, or any other promotion of a Referral Code in a manner that would constitute or appear to constitute unsolicited commercial email or "spam" in Trala’s sole discretion is expressly prohibited and may be grounds for immediate termination of the Subscriber’s account and deactivation of the Referral Code. We have a zero-tolerance spam policy.

  3. Trala has no obligation to monitor the content provided by Subscribers; however, Trala may choose to do so and block any email messages, remove any such content, or prohibit any use of the Program.

Fraudulent and Suspicious Behavior

  1. Trala may prohibit a Subscriber from participating in the Program or receiving a Reward, in their sole discretion, if they determine such Subscriber, either directly or indirectly is attempting to undermine the fairness, integrity or legitimate operation of the Program in any way by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair playing practices that would in any way annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other users or representatives of Trala.

  2. Use of any automated system, script, or macro to participate in the Program or generate Qualified Referrals is strictly prohibited and will result in the responsible Subscriber’s disqualification from the Program.

  3. Subscribers may not enter with multiple or fake email addresses or accounts, use fictitious identities or use any system, bot or other device or artifice to participate in the Program or receive a Reward.

  4. Trala reserves the right to disqualify any Subscriber and/or cancel any Reward(s) if they determine a Subscriber has tampered with the operation of the Program or violated these Terms and Conditions.

Trala reserves the right to suspend, disqualify or terminate any Subscriber’s participation in the Program and forfeit any Rewards or credits earned if the Subscriber is found to have engaged in any prohibited conduct or otherwise violated the provisions of these Terms and Conditions. If Subscribers have engaged in prohibited conduct, spam or fraudulent or suspicious behavior that undermines or affects the integrity or credibility of the Program, and Trala is unable to find a solution to restore the integrity and credibility of the Program, then Trala may in its sole discretion cancel, change or suspect the Program.

CAUTION: ANY DELIBERATE ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROGRAM MAY CONSTITUTE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM FURTHER PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM. TRALA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION, IN THE EVENT OF ANY SUCH ATTEMPT.
